Marina Labyrinth Project

labyrinthimageuse21labyrinthimageusee1

I am currently working with a group of city planners, community organizers, artists and volunteers to generate final funding for  a 13th circuit labyrinth, similar to the one in Chartres.  My role in this project is as a social media advisor, which encompasses helping stage temporary events to build awareness for the project, community building via social networks, outreach, marketing, fundraising, and video (Check them out; Night Walk and Day Walk, two videos I produced).  For more information about this project, check out the East Bay Labyrinth Project, under the auspices of Berkeley Partners for Parks, which I developed as well.

By the way, if you have a community nonprofit or a small business that could use a lift, I give free 1/2 hour consultations on ways that might take your project further. Contact me at elichtig@mac.com to get started!

Short Research and Pitch Project on Mobile Couponing

This project lasted just a few weeks.  I learned about the state of the field in digital/mobile couponing, the major players, and opportunities. I also got introduced to pitch strategy. Good learning!

Take Me Bay Area

– mobile tours for visitors who identify themselves as creatively driven and hopelessly curious!

I am currently working on both a blog and mobile video that will guide visitors to an interesting mix of  ”neighborhood” creative treasures, as well as encourage submissions from people who are artists themselves. The tours will be accessible via mobile, and via podcasts on PDA devices and the desktop. They will make the most of the evolving character of the places we live.

Social Media Support for a Small Business (Personal Coaching)

Getting the word out through a celebratory event and holding a fundraiser at the same time are not always easy tasks.  Fundraising, in this situation, is more a soft sell, while program promotion is typically more vigorous.

I am working with a personal coach with the following social media elements in mind:

1.  The development of a online community
2.  Mobile coupons/local business promotions
3.  Evangelists identified, courted and encouraged!

Nothing fancy, just time.
