SOCIAL MEDIA PROJECT WORK

In terms of specific social media project work. here are some select things I could do for you and your organization:

Before key activities or simply as a means to get you self-initiated into the online social media world:

  • perform discerning online research in pivotal social network and marketing areas
  • help promote your activities through the development and organization of effective online social media practices
  • develop an email campaign that develops interest in social media exchange
  • raise your individual and company visibility so your business can begin to engage in dialogue with customers.  We’ll work through those social media plans together.
  • generate initial interest through online presentations, webinars, content galleries, video email, email campaigns, etc.
  • develop copy and e-material useful to your community
  • set you up with a Wordpress blog/website using your own branded domain

During an event or to improve existing processes:

  • set up and facilitate collaborations using online and in-person facilitation tools
  • visually document and photograph your community activities
  • mediate and facilitate communications between you, your community and key stakeholders
  • pinpoint marketing improvements based on basic competitive analysis and ‘engagement’ review
  • enhance the degree of connection with each group as your event or relationship unfolds

After an event or to strengthen your efforts using ongoing consultation:

  • coach you and your staff about ways to make increasing impact online
  • develop (or find the people who develop) media products like podcast interviews, mobile sites/video, flash presentations, video widgets, etc. to get the attention/interest from others and generate appropriate leads
  • teach a mini-course or lead you towards more impactful storytelling (Here’s my  storytelling recommendations list)
  • evaluate where and how you’ve been successful and what other interventions can directly affect your bottom line.

A Little History

OVERVIEW

– Fifteen years in the communications and technology business.
– Love of learning and storytelling
– Riveted toward interesting conversation with people and unearthing the unique
– Able to offer valuable communication insights that result in collaborations and connection
– Enjoy finding the resources that match what people seek
– Consider it a privilege to produce, facilitate, and be involved in strategy
– Experienced as an educator (standup and online)

Started out with an organizational systems and consulting perspective (Harvard-influenced)

Currently, feel more in sync with the current social media landscape of listening for the advance of creative ideas and how they can be applied to markets and communities not yet served, and that lead toward  the intercultural and interpersonal.

Treasured experiences — entering into different communities.
Examples: helping immigrants manage their transition to citizenship, becoming part of the challenges inherent in improving the care of chronically sick children in a clinic, helping to start a newspaper business in Cambodia and reflect the people whose stories they covered, becoming aware of the role of a fundraising organization and its relationship to community members, and engaging in a local neighborhood effort that encourages relationship to a developing public space.

Work Sought:

• companies that take advantage of creative community making

• businesses whose bent is educational

• an opportunity where international service combined with innovative product or service communication tools (like mobile) strengthens the individual and community.

Technical Implementations

• wordpress and online media installations (flash/quicktime/slideshows/ podcasts/screencasts/DVD’s)

• scriptwriting/storyboarding

• visual content workflow setup and organization (Aperture, filemaker on mobile, task management, content management, etc),

• basic video setup and editing (using Final Cut Pro, IMovie, FlipShare, Isight, Audacity, or DVD Studio Pro)

• shopping carts and databases
